Two Types of Hyperhidrosis - ZeroSweat

TWO TYPES OF HYPERHIDROSIS

TWO TYPES OF HYPERHIDROSIS

The two most common types of excessive sweating (a.k.a. Hyperhidrosis) are Primary Focal Hyperhidrosis & Secondary Generalized Hyperhidrosis.

1. PRIMARY FOCAL HYPERHIDROSIS

Primary Focal Hyperhidrosis (PFH) refers to the excessive sweating being the medical ailment itself – it is not caused by another medical condition or medication. PFH makes up about 93% of cases and occurs in one of multiple areas of the body (typically underarms, face & head, hands or feet).

WHAT CAUSES IT?

The cause of PFH is not well understood and can affect anybody – even healthy people. It is an equal opportunity irritant in that it typically starts to rear its ugly head in childhood or adolescence and impacts both males & females equally. Sometimes it is grown out of but it could last a lifetime.

2. SECONDARY HYPERHIDROSIS

Secondary Generalized Hyperhidrosis is the other of the two main types of excessive sweating conditions. This type is caused by an underlying medical condition and/or is a side effect of medication. It usually means sweating over large areas of your body and comes on at the beginning of a medical condition or when you start taking a medication. It often results in sweating at night while sleeping.

WHAT CAUSES this type of excessive sweating?

The following medical conditions frequently cause secondary hyperhidrosis:

  • Alcoholism
  • Anxiety
  • Cancer
  • Diabetes

  • Gout
  • Heart Failure
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Infection

  • Menopause
  • Nerve Injury
  • Obesity
  • Parkinson’s Disease

  • Pregnancy
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis

CAN THEY BE TREATED?

Yes! ZeroSweat is formulated specifically to address both forms of excessive sweating. Our products are designed to stop excessive sweat production before it even starts.

Managing excessive sweating with ZeroSweat is easy! Simply apply at our products at night, wait 2-3 minutes to let it dry and absorb into your sweat glands...then go to sleep, and let it go to work! This allows our unique formula to work while the sweat glands are less active. The formula will travel down into the sweat gland and create a block that doesn’t wash off in the morning. In fact, the strength of this product is so powerful that most customers only need to apply once or twice a week!
